This story starts with a young man keenly interested in G.I. Joe that grows up to earn a commission in the U.S. Army.
Some might say it was providence. Others would call it destiny. A certain mom would term it as, “an obsession with Army man Halloween costumes six years running.” I call it
matching a desire as an adult to serve something bigger than myself with the opportunity to do so in an exciting way. Exactly how I now serve my clients as President of
Custom Business Mats. But getting back to my story…
I commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army in 2005 after college. My initial career field was logistics and supply in the 82nd Airborne after Airborne and Ranger training.
While serving in that first assignment I was fortunate to deploy to Iraq alongside some of the most disciplined and professional service members the United States has.
They made me better and any success I had was a result of their efforts.
Following those 18 months in Iraq I made a transition to Army Public Affairs and went back to Iraq, this time to live at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad supporting communications
objectives for the main mission. It was a great experience and I met a lot of amazing people I remain friends with today.
I left the Army in 2011 to earn a graduate degree and have worked in communications / branding / marketing ever since. I love it. I can’t get enough of it. I see it everywhere
I go. I am eager to help and support my clients, and by proxy their clients, to achieve better brand awareness, recognition, and salience through better branding floor mat solutions.
